Appleton Common Council District 6 Update for January 31, 2022

  Good afternoon District 6 neighbors, I’m sending an update prior to the Common Council meeting this Wednesday because a few major committee items will not be on the agenda for that meeting, and I don’t want them to get lost. The first item was the contract for the city brand study. As noted in last week’s update, there was a request to award the contract for the brand study to Unlisted, LLC for a total of $88,840. In the previous Finance Committee meeting there was quite a bit of discussion from both members of the committee and other alderpersons, and the item was held in anticipation of getting some answers to questions from the recommended bidder. However, before the meeting, Unlisted, LLC withdrew the bid. The Finance Committee received a letter from the mayor recommending that the Request for Proposal be modified and reissued. Appleton Common Council District 5 Update - January 10, 2022

  Good afternoon District 6 neighbors,  Today marks a return to work for the Common Council with an abbreviated schedule of committee meetings, but before I get into the details of those meetings, I want to share a couple of news items.  The first is that the City of Appleton is now accepting grant applications for American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds for non-profit community events and behavioral health care programs. Kensington Dr. Tests will be given Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. These are PCR tests with results available in 3-5 days.  https://doineedacovid19test.com
